How to treat skin burns
Burns can be caused by various external factors and are generally classified according to intensity of damage to skin tissue. So, first degree burns as a result of minor damage and third-degree burns are the most damage. For example, sunburn are classified as first degree burns, causing extreme redness and peeling of the skin tissue with damaged skin. On the other hand, third-degree burns are usually caused by direct contact with harsh chemicals or fire damage, which penetrates deep into skin tissue, causing a dark, charred skin. Most of the deaths due to third-degree burns, although some second degree burns (if common) can be just as serious.
It is advisable to consult a doctor with any type of burning, although some mild cases of first-degree burns may respond well to treatment at home. They may be light sunburn, allergic "burns" after exposure to foods such as peppers and small blisters caused by touching hot objects. In most of these cases, the skin becomes red and sensitive and can be painful to touch. Sometimes the damaged outer layers of shells or small blisters develop, which may ooze a clear liquid.
It is important to avoid damaging these vesicles, which are natural casts of the skin and helps protect the skin tissue damaged. The cold running water on the affected skin immediately after getting a minor burn can reduce the temperature and minimize damage to the skin, although this may not be desirable for certain types of chemical burns or splashes of fat. A cold compress such as ice wrapped in a towel works well to give relief in a timely manner by numbing the skin burned.
You can also use a cloth moistened with cold milk, which is very reassuring.
